Power Wagon Registry (2005 and up)
About the Power Wagon Registry
When I bought my 2005 Dodge Power Wagon in January of 2006, I quickly found out that there weren't too many resources about the 3G PWs. There weren't any dedicated forums, lists, or registries.
Chrysler / Dodge has been very uncooperative in divulging pretty much any information about the Power Wagon. Just about every question is answered with "Proprietary informaion", or "Not at liberty to divulge". One of my burning questions was how many 3G PWs were made? One of the missions of this site is to try and get as many trucks registered as possible so that maybe we can suss this out based on last four of the VIN. I do have some numbers in the FAQ that we obtained from someone in Chrysler who we believe to be a reliable source. What we don't know are whether those numbers are just U.S. sales, or worldwide.
If you look to the right you'll see some statistics about how many have registered here, and what the highest and lowest sequential numbers have been registered. I have yet to find a 2005 Power Wagon with a last four higher than 3,000 anywhere in my searches of the internet.
CAVEAT: See the FAQ page for information concerning sequential numbering. It will explain why we have a 2005 with a last four of 9392.
You might be wondering why, if 2005 PWs were the only ones sequentially numbered, I collect the last four for the other model years. The main reason is that we didn't know it was only MY 2005 until after I'd built the registry and we already had quite a few people on here. Secondly, we figured, what could it hurt.
At any rate, if you find a Power Wagon somewhere, do me a favor. Tell them about this site so they can register here and help solve the mysteries.
